Zsolnay Porcelain

The Zsolnay Porcelain Manufactory is located in Pécs, one of the biggest, and most historically-important towns in Hungary. Zsolnay Porcelain developed pirogranite, used as a decoration and as a wrapping on many Hungarian buildings. Also Zsolnay was the inventor of eosin technology, which is the material of their beautiful, red and green porcelains. If you visit the exhibition, you will see all types of the worldwide famous porcelain and if you take a walk in Pécs, you can also see amazing buildings, statues and fountains with Zsolnay decoration.
Pick Salami
Genuine ‘Hungaricum’ Pick Salami has been produced since the end of the 19th century using the original, secret recipe. The delicious salami is made of pork meat, combined with special spices. The manufactory is located in one of the most beautiful Hungarian towns, Szeged.
Matyó Embroideries

The Matyó embroideries originate from a little town in Hungary, Mezőkövesd. Originally they were made in only red and blue colors, with the special boots-bird pattern. From the 20th century more colors were used and also the motives became more dense. The most famous pattern is the “Matyó-rose”. The women usually wore shawls, and the men baggy shirts with Matyó embroideries. In Mezőkövesd, you can find beautiful collections of the Matyó-embroideries, There are also craft workshops where you watch (and try your hand at) the baking of honey-cake workshop, as well as workshops for embroidery, pottery, glass-grinding, furniture painting and many others.
